Before Mila AI, we were a marketing agency for dental clinics. We built websites, managed Google and Meta ads, and grew clinic brands across Slovakia and the Czech Republic.

Our clients regularly received dozens of new inquiries every month. Website forms, calls from ads, Instagram messages. Leads were coming in. But when we looked at the results, the numbers didn't add up.

Clinics were investing thousands into advertising, yet patient growth didn't match. The problem wasn't the number of leads. The problem was what happened next.

We started investigating where leads were disappearing. The answer was always the same. Calls went unanswered — especially during morning rush and lunch breaks. Instagram and Facebook messages waited for hours, sometimes days. Website forms received an automated email and then silence. And by the time the receptionist finally called back, the patient had already booked elsewhere.

Some clinics didn't have a receptionist at all — the dentist was picking up the phone between patients. Others had a receptionist, but she was overwhelmed: phone, walk-ins, emails, Instagram, billing — all at once. And even the best receptionists had one thing in common: they weren't trained in sales. Nobody taught them. When a patient called asking about implant pricing, they either refused — 'We don't give prices over the phone' — or gave a number without context, leading the patient to compare with the cheapest competitor.

We realized that no marketing campaign would solve this problem. Clinics didn't need more leads. They needed someone to pick up the phone, respond to the message, understand the patient, and book them — 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, with empathy and a sales instinct.

A receptionist simply doesn't have the capacity for that. Not because she's bad at her job. But because it's physically impossible for one person. And this is exactly what artificial intelligence was made for.
